I truly love this recipe. An easy but very tasty cracker dough, made with olive, wine, petimezi (grape molasses) and flour.
Ingredients
30 ml white wine
35 ml olive oil
½ tsp petimezi (grape molasses)
75 g Flour
Pistachio
Currants
Sunflower seeds
Pinch of salt
Method
Preheat the oven to 190oc
Mix the olive oil, petimezi and wine with a whisk. Then mix all the dry ingredients well and slowly add the olive oi and wine mixture. Start working on your dough with two hands and knead until you have a smooth dough. Leave it to rest for 5-10 min.
Place the dough in between two parchment paper sheets and roll it out thin. Then put the rolled out dough on a baking try and cut into squares with either a knife or a dough cutter. Bake the crackers for 15-20 min .
Once ready let them cool. These crackers can last up to 1 month, just store them in plastic container and keep in a dark cupboard
